The high-performance polyamide fiber for concrete optimization

We have rethought polyamide fibers and developed a new product together with the Institute for Construction Research at RWTH Aachen University (ibac). The result is ENNEAFIL – “the power fiber” with outstanding mechanical properties and a wide range of possible uses in concrete processing. The use of ENNEAFIL significantly reduces the formation of cracks, reduces shrinkage and in some cases replaces or reduces steel reinforcement. With ENNEAFIL we have laid the innovative foundation. Now it is up to us and you to develop something new together.

ENNEAFIL PA Microfiber

The thin ENNEAFIL micro fibers are distributed n-dimensionally in the concrete. Due to the hydrophilic properties of the polyamide, they absorb moisture and release it again during the drying and hardening phase of the concrete. This prevents cracking and greatly reduces shrinkage.

The ENNEAFIL macro fibers are added to the concrete during the mixing process. Due to the n-dimensional alignment of the individual fibers, the macrofibers fit perfectly into the concrete matrix and thereby improve the mechanical properties.
