ENTRON eco includes the two most important polyamides (PA) on the market: PA 6.6 and PA 6. Polyamides are thermoplastic polymers that can be used in many ways in a wide range of applications. We offer these polyamides in the form of custom compounds modified for each customer.

Filled PA recompound on the rise

The right process and materials know-how for an impact-resistant material

By-products of polyamides from the high-end textile industry are at the heart of the impact-resistant, reinforced polyamides from ENNEATECH. These PA6.6 GF50 compounds, based on recyclates, achieve high mechanical properties such as impact resistance (> 120 KJ/m2) and notch impact strength (>15 KJ/m2) without the use of elastomers or other polymers. ENTRON eco compounds thus achieve levels comparable with those of compounds based on new materials.

High-quality source materials

An important factor for quality is the regranulate used; this must already satisfy the required conditions. To ensure this quality, all input materials received by us are subjected to incoming quality testing. The different fractions are then mixed in silos in such a way that a homogeneous source material is obtained, from which regranulate of consistent quality can be generated. This is where Enneatech’s decades of know-how from the textile industry and experience of supplier-customer relationships is beneficial. They guarantee both, dependable material quality and also reliability of supply. Our regranulates, both PA6 and PA6.6, with different specifications but consistent quality, are produced in our recycling facilities.

Process control throughout

Today our company offers different types with different fill levels from PA6 and PA6.6 to suit customer requirements. The employees in our new testing laboratory subject each batch to precise testing. The testing includes impact strength, tensile strength, viscosity, MFI, moisture, material characterising with IR spectroscopy, thermal testing, glass fibre length distribution and much more. The advantages of the new polyamide in the Enneatech range are clear: higher mechanical strengths allow thinner component wall thicknesses. This saves costs, materials and thus also significantly reduces the CO2 footprint of the component produced.
