Health coaching at Enneatech

“The compass can be reset,” says Daja Bildhauer, Chairwoman of the Enneatech Supervisory Board, reflecting on the afternoon with health coach Henning Doyen at Enneatech on 18 April. We offer our employees sustainability training every year, which we hope will help us take sustainable habits home with us and integrate them into our everyday lives.

 

This year it was all about health. As an employer, it is important to us to actively invest in the health of our employees. We are convinced that healthy employees are the pillars of a flourishing company – and we want to work together to ensure this, including preventative measures. This is important from an employer’s point of view – a low number of sick days is particularly important in times when there is a shortage of skilled labour – but we also want to show our appreciation for the successful commitment that our employees have invested in the company, usually for many years.

 

How well do you feel? That was the initial question, which is sometimes not so easy to answer on closer inspection. The coaching was based on the three pillars of exercise, nutrition and awareness. In addition to practical and individual tips on the first two pillars, awareness was a particularly important aspect: Because without awareness and motivation, implementation is difficult in everyday life.

 

Health coach Henning Doyen says: “If there’s one thing participants should remember, it’s that it’s worth prioritising their own health. Because without health, everything is nothing.” The aim of his coaching sessions is to motivate people to invest in their own well-being. This is often neglected today, and we forget that the healthier we are, the more we will be able to achieve and experience in the long term.

 

As a manufacturing company, health at Enneatech starts with occupational health and safety: regular check-ups with the company doctor, safety instructions for employees in the factory; thorough safety inspections and, of course, the meeting with the Occupational Safety Committee (ASA) four times a year. A short list of the most basic measures that go without saying. Operations manager Artur Lange is particularly pleased that the size of the company and the number of employees allow for highly individualised support. This allows the different life phases of employees to be addressed and taken into account. We pay great attention to the individual needs of our shift workers and also provide customised equipment. Last year, we recorded zero reportable accidents at work at Enneatech. It should stay that way!

 

The coaching has motivated many of us to become more active again in some areas. Whether in terms of nutrition or exercise, Artur Lange’s main takeaway was: concrete goals lead to success. Especially if they can be easily integrated into everyday life.

 

To provide our employees with practical support, we offer them membership and the full sports programme at Hansefit – one of the leading corporate fitness providers in Germany. In addition, blue-glass filters were ordered to protect the eyes and a Shakti mat to stimulate the central nervous system directly after the coaching session. We are already looking forward to trying them out.

Preparing the anti-inflammatory ginger shot together during the coaching session was not only a great team event, but also tasted delicious. Now it’s time for each and every one of us to put everything into practice in our everyday lives.
