We want to work even more actively than before to preserve biodiversity.
On August 13, 2024, ENNEATECH and 10 other companies joined the regional “Alliance for Biodiversity” newly founded by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for East Frisia and Papenburg.
The alliance was formed on the initiative of DIHK Service GmbH as part of the “Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt” (UBi) project with the aim of promoting companies’ commitment to biodiversity.
The alliance is supported by the Ökowerk Foundation and Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtmarketing Emden GmbH.
At the founding event in the premises of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Emden, we declared our participation in the alliance and, as a first step, committed ourselves to implementing at least one corporate measure to protect biodiversity.
The Alliance for Biodiversity will work on the basis of defined guidelines.
In addition to strict compliance with all legal environmental standards, companies can contribute to the protection of biodiversity in a variety of ways.
The members of the Alliance for Biodiversity are supported by the project partners of the “Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt” (UBi) project through knowledge transfer and advice.
Protecting biodiversity on Earth is currently one of the greatest challenges facing humanity, alongside climate protection.
This goal is also the focus of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 14 and 15 (life below water, life on land).
New studies show that biodiversity is an essential basis for achieving the other SDGs.
