Sun, fun and nothing to do … is what you might think of when someone mentions a stay in Malta. But it’s not all fun and games. Besides sunscreen and a swimsuit, you also need to pack a laptop and pen.
Thanks to the Erasmus Plus programme
of the BBS1 Aurich vocational school and the training company Enneatech AG, Svea Röben will be doing an internship on the Mediterranean island of Malta for one month starting on 25 September 2022. She will get to know the people, as well as everyday life and culture, and will have a chance to dive into the daily work life of a Maltese company and learn about how they do things. Since English is the island’s second official language, she is also getting the opportunity to apply and improve her English skills.
As Svea puts it: ‘I am excited to learn about the cultural impressions, the people, and how I will manage with my English. I am confident that I will be able to continue to develop both professionally and personally, and I look forward to applying my previously acquired skills in the company.’

‘We are very pleased to be able to offer Svea an internship abroad as part of her training. She will gain insight into daily working life of the Maltese and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience. This will certainly help her in her continued training.
Malta is small but refined, and it is considered a cultural melting pot due to its eventful history. So, Svea will get to know an exciting culture, make interesting contacts and immerse herself in what, for her, is a new way of life. The experience will demand and promote her independence, and, last but not least, she will also have the opportunity to demonstrate and improve her language skills.
A stay abroad during their traineeship really stands out on the trainees’ CVs. However, as a company, we also benefit from the trainees’ strengthened independence, the acquired experience and their improved language skills.’
